Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Hall walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers a 5-0 shutout on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won six contests in a row.

North Hall pushed their record up to 23-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Academy of Richmond County, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Hall beat the Musketeers by a score of 12-0 later that day.
