Basketball Recap: Riverbank Beats Bret Harte for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Riverbank extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Leilani Olanolan. The Riverbank Bruins skirted past the Bret Harte Bullfrogs 58-55 thanks in part to Olanolan, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 steals. Olanolan is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Avah Luu, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Riverbank has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Bret Harte, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-4.

Riverbank and Bret Harte should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Riverbank will square off against Calaveras at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 353 places (169 vs. 522). Riverbank is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.7 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Bret Harte (ranked 306th) will meet Summerville (ranked 949th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
