Ocean View is 3-0 against Costa Mesa since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ocean View Seahawks will head out to face off against the Costa Mesa Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Ocean View is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest victory since November 21, 2024 on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 45-15 win over Saddleback. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Seahawks had established a 20 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Costa Mesa came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Argonauts 53-26.

Costa Mesa's win came from a few key players Ocean View will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Myah Martinez, who posted 13 points and seven steals. Martinez is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Emi Kamikihara, who earned 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Costa Mesa smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matches.

Costa Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Ocean View, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.

Ocean View beat Costa Mesa 50-41 in their previous matchup on January 9th. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Kamikihara, who had 20 points and six boards.
