Baseball Recap: Wesson Gets the Win

Wesson hadn't done well against Franklin County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cobras' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 5-0 shutout. The Cobras haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Wesson's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braylen Brown, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Brown a new career-high.

Wesson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin County only posted an OBP of .375.
