Baseball Game Preview: Terrell Academy Eagles vs. Brookwood Warriors

For the second straight game, Terrell Academy will face off against Brookwood. The Eagles will face off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Terrell Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Terrell Academy needed a bit of extra time to put away Brookwood. They won by a run and slipped past the Warriors 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since March 14, 2025.

Jack Hampson and Jace Berry did most of the damage at the plate: Hampson went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles, while Berry went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. Terrell Academy is undefeated when Hampson posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Hunter Green was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Brookwood is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Terrell Academy, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-4.
