Football Game Preview: Eustis Panthers vs. Oviedo Lions + Official Tickets

The Eustis Panthers will head out to challenge the Oviedo Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eustis has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with seven straight defeats, while Oviedo will come in with six straight wins.

On Friday, Eustis lost to Mount Dora on the road by a 30-14 margin.

Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Oviedo made off with a 29-28 victory over Evans. The 29-point effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Eustis better focus on containing Emiliano Galarza and Sebastian Galeano as the pair were huge in Oviedo's win. Galarza picked up 86 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while Galeano threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes. Oviedo also got a significant boost from Brock Joyce, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.

Eustis' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Oviedo, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Eustis was dealt a bruising 59-0 defeat at the hands of Oviedo in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
