Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bishop Miege walked away with it. They breezed past the Atchison Phoenix to the tune of 57-7 on Friday. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Stags this season.

When it comes to explaining why Atchison lost, don't look at Jack Bilderback. Despite the final result, he rushed for 107 yards on only six carries.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop Miege and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points over those games. As for Atchison, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

Bishop Miege has already played their next matchup, a 30-6 win against Tonganoxie on the 7th. Atchison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
