Baseball Recap: Meadowcreek Comes Up Short

Meadowcreek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Norcross Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 on Tuesday.

Khristopher Gutierrez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

Meadowcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Norcross, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Meadowcreek and Norcross could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Meadowcreek (ranked 423rd) will meet Peachtree Ridge (ranked 87th) at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meadowcreek has given up an average of 15.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Similarly, Norcross will take on Parkview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday down 274 places (289 vs. 15).
