Baseball Preview: Dalton Catamounts vs. Woodland Wildcats
Dalton and Woodland are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Dalton Catamounts will be playing at home against the Woodland Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Dalton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Dalton needed a bit of extra time to put away Woodland. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 5-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Dalton got a great performance from RJ Donahue as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. What's more, Donahue gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Charles Chappelle was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cain Woods, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Woodland moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Dalton, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.
