Football Recap: Cedar Mountain Extends Winning Streak to Two + How To Watch

If Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cedar Mountain, they should've done a better job of containing Jackson Guetter. The Cougars blew past the Mustangs, posting a 57-7 win thanks in part to Guetter, who rushed for 249 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 14.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

Stan Heiling was another key player, gaining 77 total yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

The victory made it two in a row for Cedar Mountain and bumps their season record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 23 points in those games. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Mountain will square off against Hills-Beaver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they will head out on the road to challenge Adrian/Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
