Basketball Recap: Episcopal Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kate Boerner and Caitlin Mccarthy

After flying high against Baldwin last Friday, Episcopal Academy came back down to earth. The Episcopal Academy Churchmen lost to Academy-Notre Dame De Namur on the road by a 52-37 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Churchmen in their matchups with Academy-Notre Dame De Namur: they've now lost eight in a row.

Despite the defeat, Episcopal Academy had strong showings from Caitlin Mccarthy, who posted 12 points, and Kate Boerner, who had ten points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ali Dennis, who put up three points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Episcopal Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1. As for Academy-Notre Dame De Namur, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Episcopal Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-36 defeat against Germantown Academy on the 31st. Academy-Notre Dame De Namur has also already played their next contest, a 51-49 loss against Friends' Central on the 30th.
