Beloit and Garden Plain squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Beloit had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 31-14 to the Owls. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Truitt King threw for 180 yards and one TD. Jacob Hand was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Garden Plain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylen Dold, who rushed for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries. Eli Eck was another key player, rushing for 120 yards and one score.

Beloit's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Garden Plain, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Beloit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garden Plain, they will take on Hoisington on Friday. The Owls will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
