Football Recap: Holcomb Extends Winning Streak to Four

Holcomb extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Cooper Cranston. Everything went the Longhorns' way against the Goodland Cowboys on Friday as they made off with a 34-14 win with plenty of help from Cranston, who rushed for 234 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, and also threw for 47 yards and one touchdown. Cranston is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season.

Holcomb didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Cranston led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

Holcomb's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Goodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holcomb will take on rival Colby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Goodland is set to face off against their familiar foe Ulysses at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
