Basketball Recap: Palmdale Academy Charter School Comes Up Short

Palmdale Academy Charter School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Antelope Valley Antelopes and fell 75-24. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1107th, while the Antelopes are ranked 183rd).

Antelope Valley had a senior duo take command as Leandriah Zachary posted 21 points and Ariana Soil put up 17 points. The contest was Soil's 26th in a row with at least ten points. Nacarra Kennedy was another key player, putting up nine points.

Palmdale Academy Charter School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Antelope Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Palmdale Academy Charter School has already played their next game (against Mojave), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Antelope Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-50 win against Lancaster on the 14th.
