Softball Recap: Campbell's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Campbell entered their tilt with Sprayberry on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Yellow Jackets with a sharp 11-5 victory. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets back in August, they had to take a 13-10 loss.

Chase Lewgood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Harper MacDonald was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Ella Finke also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Campbell's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Sprayberry, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Coming up, Campbell will head out to face off against Westminster at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sprayberry, they will be playing at home against Riverwood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
