Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon lost against Wesleyan back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Wesleyan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Mount Vernon will face off against South Cobb at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Wesleyan, they will challenge Mount Pisgah Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: the Patriots will have lost four straight heading into Monday's contest.
