High school softball rankings: Sheldon on the rise in this week's MaxPreps Sac-Joaquin Section Top 25

Huskies join Vanden as two teams making big leaps in this week's rankings.

The MaxPreps high school softball computer rankings are updated twice a week, and the most recent update on April 14 has Sheldon (Sacramento) on the rise.

The Huskies have shown of late why they were picked as the top-ranked team to begin the season after impressive wins over Elk Grove, St. Francis (Sacramento), and one the country's best in Saint Francis of Mountain View, California.

While many teams are off for spring break, Vanden (Fairfield) has continued its impressive start. The Vikings beat East Nicolaus 4-3. East Nic is considered by many as one of the top teams in California. It just shows how talented Vanden is.

Teams that do not enter results and statistical information to MaxPreps make forming the rankings and highlighting players much more difficult.
