Basketball Recap: Kennedy Piles Up the Points Against Arrowhead Christian

Kennedy extended their postseason success on Saturday against Arrowhead Christian. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Arrowhead Christian Eagles 49-18. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Fighting Irish have posted since November 18, 2024.

Kennedy found their leader in sophomore Ariana Navarro, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Navarro has become a key player for Kennedy: the team is 12-5 when she posts at least three steals, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Hsu, who posted 12 points.

Kennedy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Kennedy, bringing their record for this year to 16-12. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points over those games. As for Arrowhead Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Coming up, Kennedy will square off against Oxford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oxford Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Arrowhead Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
