Baseball Recap: Norwell Takes a Loss

Norwell entered their game against Rockland on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Clippers took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Clippers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 9-6.

Norwell's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Rockland, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Norwell will head out to take on Weymouth at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rockland, they will venture away from home to square off against Hanover at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.9, the Hawks 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
