Baseball Recap: Dublin Drops Highest Score of Season Against Northeast

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dublin). Everything went their way against the Northeast Raiders on Friday as Dublin made off with a 20-5 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Fighting Irish needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Tyrese Robinson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Willie Batts also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Dublin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Dublin is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Northeast has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Dublin will face off against Treutlen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast, they will square off against Howard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Northeast is facing Howard at the right time seeing as Howard is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
