Boulder City is 1-9 against Moapa Valley since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Boulder City gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They enjoyed a cozy 30-14 victory over Democracy Prep Agassi Campus. The score was all tied up 8-8 at the break, but the Eagles were the (much) better team in the second half.

Boulder City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Francis Mariani out in front who threw for 165 yards and three TDs. Mariani is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Moapa Valley's win came from a few key players Boulder City will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Caden Rawson, who picked up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 39 yards and one score. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 58 yards. Briggs Hickman was another key rusher, rushing for 62 yards and a pair of TDs.

Moapa Valley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited The Meadows School to a completion percentage of just 40%. Moapa Valley's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Tag Jensen was especially locked on to The Meadows School's QB and sacked him twice.

The victory got Moapa Valley back to even at 3-3. As for Boulder City, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Boulder City took a serious blow against Moapa Valley in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 49-6. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 28-0.
