Basketball Recap: Moore Haven Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Shakur Williams and Clifford Love

After flying high against Lake Placid last Tuesday, Moore Haven came back down to earth. The Moore Haven Terriers received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 64-47 to the Glades Central Raiders. The Terriers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Moore Haven's loss came despite strong showings from Clifford Love and Shakur Williams. Love posted 15 points along with five assists and five boards, while Williams put up 16 points. That's the most points Williams has posted since back in December of 2023. Kendavion Holligan was another key player, putting up nine points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Moore Haven fell to 3-1. As for Glades Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Moore Haven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-44 defeat against Okeechobee on the 13th. As for Glades Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-45 victory against Atlantic on the 13th.
