Football Recap: Loara Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Loara had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 18-7 to the Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Loara's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ariel Olvera, who rushed for 31 yards and six TDs, and Santiago Caudillo, who rushed for 85 yards on only ten carries.

Damian Navarro had a dynamite game For Godinez Fundamental., rushing for 66 yards and a pair of scores. They also got a significant boost from Adrian Ramirez, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.

Coming up, Loara will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Pioneer at 6:30 p.m. As for Godinez Fundamental, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge La Quinta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
