Soccer Game Preview: Luella vs. Upson-Lee

The Luella Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Upson-Lee Knights at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Upson-Lee took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Luella, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Luella earned a 5-3 win over Cedar Grove. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Luella.

They hit Cedar Grove with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from LASHAYNE HIBBERT (2), OBA AJIBOYE, TATE GRANT, and CHRISTIAN ORELUS.

Meanwhile, Upson-Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Spalding.

Upson-Lee's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Luella, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Luella suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Upson-Lee when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Luella avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
