Softball Recap: Winder-Barrow Comes Up Short

After flying high against Alcovy last Tuesday, Winder-Barrow came back down to earth. The Bulldoggs lost 9-1 to the Jackson County Panthers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldoggs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Winder-Barrow's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Jackson County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Winder-Barrow will challenge rival Clarke Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jackson County is set to square off against their familiar foe Alcovy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
