Basketball Recap: Valley Vista Comes Up Short

Valley Vista was the 48-44 winner over Shadow Ridge when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Valley Vista Monsoon fell just short of the Shadow Ridge Stallions by a score of 56-54 on Friday.

Shadow Ridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Lindemann, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Lindemann has posted since back in December of 2024. Jalen Harris was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

Valley Vista has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Shadow Ridge, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Valley Vista has already played their next match, a 68-55 loss against Apollo on the 6th. As for Shadow Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-53 victory against Tolleson on the 4th.
