Baseball Recap: Tucker Takes a Loss

Tucker managed to slip by Druid Hills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tucker Tigers came up short against the Druid Hills Red Devils on Wednesday, falling 16-1. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Tucker saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Samuda, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave Samuda a new career-high.

With the loss, Tucker broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Druid Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tucker will take on Druid Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Druid Hills, they will welcome Northview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
