Softball Recap: Sioux Center Comes Up Short

Sioux Center was the 3-2 winner over MOC-Floyd Valley when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dutchmen on Monday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sioux Center's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Sioux Center will host Central Lyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.2 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against Western Christian on the 24th.
