Basketball Recap: Design Tech Sets Scoring Season-High Against Basis Independent Silicon Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Design Tech). They claimed a resounding 67-27 victory over the Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Jewel Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Eve Casile, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 14 points.

Design Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Eesha Muttineni, who posted ten points, and Rinisha Golani, who put up seven points.

Design Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. Basis Independent Silicon Valley is on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Design Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-30 win against San Lorenzo Valley on the 21st. Basis Independent Silicon Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
