Soccer Game Preview: Soledad vs. Salinas

The Soledad Aztecs will head out to square off against the Salinas Cowboys at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

Soledad's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Watsonville. Give the Aztecs' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Salinas made easy work of Watsonville on Friday and carried off a 5-1 win. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

Salinas has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 54 goals over those 11 matchups. As for Soledad, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1-1.
