Softball Recap: Dougherty's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Dougherty played against Mitchell County on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

The win snapped Dougherty's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-16 record. As for Mitchell County, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Dougherty will head out on the road to square off against Atkinson County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.07 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. Mitchell County will be paying especially close attention to Dougherty's game: after Dougherty faces off against Atkinson County, they'll take on Mitchell County again at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
