Softball Recap: Sand Creek Beats Sierra for Their Fourth Straight Win

Sand Creek extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping them up to 7-14. Everything went their way against the Sierra Stallions as they made off with a 20-4 victory. Considering the Scorpions have won seven games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sand Creek got a massive performance out of Jaida Moody, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Knapp, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Sand Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in six consecutive contests.

As for Sierra, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 16 runs.

On Sierra's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Castro, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. Another was Maritza Enriquez, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Sand Creek has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Mitchell on the 9th. As for Sierra, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-2 loss against Falcon on the 9th.
