Basketball Game Preview: Picayune Maroon Tide vs. St. Martin Yellow Jackets + How To Watch

The Picayune Maroon Tide will square off against the St. Martin Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Saturday, Picayune came up short against Davidson and fell 58-50.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between St. Martin and St. Stanislaus, and St. Stanislaus kept the tradition alive. The Yellow Jackets took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock-a-Chaws on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Yellow Jackets' undefeated start to the season.

Picayune's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Martin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Picayune didn't have too much breathing room in their game against St. Martin when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win.
