Basketball Recap: Katherine Artiga and Araceli Gonzalez Secure Win for Granada Hills Charter

Granada Hills Charter won the last time they faced Newbury Park and things went their way on Saturday too. The Granada Hills Charter Highlanders strolled past the Newbury Park Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 42-28.

Leading Granada Hills Charter to victory were Araceli Gonzalez and Katherine Artiga. Gonzalez posted 16 points, while Artiga earned 11 points. Artiga continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caylee Fuentes, who put up five points.

Granada Hills Charter now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Newbury Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Granada Hills Charter will welcome Birmingham at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Birmingham will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Granada Hills Charter surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newbury Park, they will be playing at home against Agoura at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
