Basketball Recap: Hayward Takes a Loss

Hayward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mt. Eden Monarchs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-37 back in January.

Hayward's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Mt. Eden, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.

As of now, neither Hayward nor Mt. Eden have any future games scheduled.
