With a playoff win on the line, Centreville rose to the challenge on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Washington-Liberty Generals 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Caysen Chadha made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Caleb Bang tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.

Back at the plate, Kees Yashko was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Centreville's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Washington-Liberty, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-13.

As of now, neither Centreville nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
