Softball Recap: King's Ridge Christian Comes Up Short

If King's Ridge Christian was riding high fresh off their 16-8 takedown of Forsyth Central on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roswell Hornets on Wednesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

King's Ridge Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Washer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

King's Ridge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-7-1. As for Roswell, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King's Ridge Christian will face off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Roswell, they will square off against Gainesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Elephants have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.29 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
