Basketball Recap: Windber Piles Up the Points Against Southern Fulton

There's no place like home for Windber, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Southern Fulton Indians 57-23 on Tuesday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Ramblers had established a 33 point advantage.

Kaylie Gaye was nothing short of spectacular: she went 6 for 11 on her way to 17 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailin Jablon, who posted five points and six steals.

Gaye wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Windber was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Southern Fulton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Claire Harvey, who put up six points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sosefina Ah Loe, who had seven points and eight rebounds.

The victory got Windber back to even at 3-3. As for Southern Fulton, they moved to 3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Windber didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-21 win against North Star on the 19th. As for Southern Fulton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-33 loss against McConnellsburg on the 29th.
