Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Mccurtain's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

While McCurtain didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Webbers Falls Warriors on Thursday. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

McCurtain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Webbers Falls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

McCurtain has already played their next contest, an 18-1 defeat against Porum on the 4th. Hopefully Webbers Falls paid attention to the Bulldogs' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
