Cameron Boozer and the Explorers pick up wins over Notre Dame and Perry at the Hoophall Classic.

Columbus (Miami, Fla.) reclaims its spot at No. 1 in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings after wins over No. 8 Perry (Gilbert, Ariz.) and bubble team Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) at the Hoophall Classic.

The Explorers (17-3) were the preseason No. 1 and looked the part over the weekend in Springfield behind Duke signee Cameron Boozer, who went for 31 points and 13 rebounds against Perry and 25 points, 15 rebounds and six assists against Notre Dame.

Things don't slow down for Columbus this week as it hosts National Top 10 No. 3 Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) on Friday in a rematch of the City of Palms Classic title game.

A chaotic holiday weekend of prep hoops featured four top 10 teams suffering setbacks and a total of 10 ranked teams falling.  Hoover (Ala.) and Brennan (San Antonio, Texas) were two of the teams that benefited from the fallout as each jumped into the top five.

Despite all the movement within the rankings, only three new teams cracked the MaxPreps Top 25. Highland (Warrenton, Va.) debuts at 23, Oak Park (Kansas City, Mo.) jumps in at No. 24 and Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, N.Y.) checks in at No. 25.
