Football Game Preview: El Toro Chargers vs. Canyon Comanches + How To Watch

El Toro is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will welcome the Canyon Comanches at 7:00 p.m. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 893 yards in their previous games.

On Saturday, El Toro came up short against Aliso Niguel and fell 48-35. The Chargers have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

El Toro might have lost, but man, Makya Chee was a machine: he rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Chee is now averaging an impressive 103 rushing yards per game. Troy Tedtaotao also helped out with an impressive 96 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Canyon didn't have quite enough to beat Cerritos two weeks ago and fell 31-28.

El Toro will have to contain Alexander Lundsberg as he made an impact in Canyon's last game. He threw for 357 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 47 yards. Lundsberg got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards.

Canyon now has a losing record of 2-3. As for El Toro, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. El Toro has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 153.2 rushing yards a game.
