Basketball Recap: Zakkiyah Lucas Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Simon Gratz won the last time they faced Philadelphia Academy Charter and things went their way on Monday too. The Simon Gratz Bulldogs strolled past the Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Simon Gratz to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zakkiyah Lucas, who posted 28 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lucas has scored at least a third of Simon Gratz's points. Alana Wilkerson was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Philadelphia Academy Charter lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Riley Dwyer, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Pasco, who earned seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
