Soccer Game Preview: Mill Creek vs. Dacula

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Mill Creek take on Dacula at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mill Creek's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Mill Creek who was credited with the win on Tuesday. Mill Creek got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to North Gwinnett's three.

Mill Creek will be up against a hot Dacula squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Dacula blew past Mountain View 4-0 on Friday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Bears are ranked 194th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dacula pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for Mill Creek, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Everything went Mill Creek's way against Dacula when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Mill Creek made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mill Creek since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
