Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Grace Davis

Grace Davis hadn't done well against Lathrop recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Grace Davis Spartans walked away with a 46-37 win over the Lathrop Spartans. Given Grace Davis' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Lathrop is ranked 691st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Lathrop lost, don't look at Shakara Porter. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirat Sidhu, who put up eight points and three steals.
