Softball Game Preview: BCLUW Comets vs. GMG Wolverines

BCLUW is a perfect 3-0 against GMG since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Comets will host the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, BCLUW got the win against Colo-NESCO by a conclusive 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for GMG, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 10-5 win over North Tama on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wolverines' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

GMG now has a winning record of 8-7. As for BCLUW, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

BCLUW came out on top in a nail-biter against GMG in their previous meeting back in May, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
