Basketball Recap: Conestoga Snaps 13-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Conestoga's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They breezed by the Cornerstone Christian School Cougars to the tune of 60-30. The win was a breath of fresh air for Conestoga as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Conestoga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayla Garrett led the charge by putting up 17 points along with seven boards and seven steals. Garrett has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Rodis, who went 7 for 16 on her way to 16 points and seven steals.

Palmyra will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Conestoga surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cornerstone Christian School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar Bluffs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Christian School is facing Cedar Bluffs at the right time seeing as Cedar Bluffs is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
