Soccer Game Preview: Wheeler County vs. Dooly County

The Wheeler County Bulldogs will take on the Dooly County Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Wheeler County came up short against Georgia Military College, falling 9-0. Wheeler County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Dooly County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 7-2 margin over Irwin County. Considering the Bobcats have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Irwin County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jesus Vega (3), Gustavo Jimenez (2), Alex Mendez, and Christopher Velasquez.

Dooly County's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Wheeler County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Wheeler County suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Dooly County in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Can Wheeler County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
