Football Recap: Hartford Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hartford can now relate to. They took a blow against the Marmaton Valley Wildcats on Thursday, falling 48-0. The Jaguars have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Tyler Lord was his usual excellent self, rushing for 200 yards and four TDs on only 12 carries for Marmaton Valley. Lord has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cooper Scharff, who rushed for 33 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Hartford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Marmaton Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

As of now, neither Hartford nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
