Baseball Recap: Groves Has No Trouble Against Hardeeville

The Groves Rebels got the win against the Hardeeville Canes on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-1. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 12 runs or more this season.

Ricardo Garcia was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Groves: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise.

Groves always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Groves' win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Hardeeville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Groves will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Beach at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Hardeeville, they will head out to take on Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
