Madrid took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Perry, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bluejays on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Bluejays on their field since June 11, 2016.

Madrid's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Perry, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7-1.

Looking ahead, Madrid will square off against Woodward-Granger at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Perry, they will face off against Saydel at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
